# Privacy

Short version: we collect as little as we can, send your requests only where you ask, and never sell your details.

Data as of October 29, 2026 · [How we measure](https://localpulseindex.com/methodology/)

**Draft, to be reviewed before launch.**

## What we collect

- **When you browse:** anonymous page counts. No advertising trackers and no cross-site cookies.
- **When you send a quote request:** your name, contact details, ZIP code and project answers, sent only to the businesses you tick.
- **When you send a correction or contact us:** what you write and the email you give us, used only to reply.
- **When a business claims a profile:** the owner's name, work email and phone, used to verify ownership and run the account.

## What we never do

- Sell or rent your details.
- Pass a quote request to a company you didn't choose.
- Use your details to build profiles of you across sites.

## Business data

Business figures come from public review platforms (under their terms) and public records such as permits and licenses. They describe businesses, not private people.

## How long we keep it

Quote requests: 12 months, then deleted. Corrections and messages: 24 months. You can ask us to delete your details sooner through the [contact page](https://localpulseindex.com/contact/).

[Local **Pulse**](https://localpulseindex.com/)

Recent public activity and reputation trends for local businesses. We measure what is public and dated. We never estimate a business's sales, revenue or customer numbers.
