About Local Pulse
A small data team measuring what local businesses do in public, so homeowners can see who is active before they call.

Why Local Pulse exists
Most directories tell you who is “best”. We think the more useful question before you call someone is simpler: who is active right now, whose record is long and steady, and whose details still check out? Local Pulse shows that, week by week, with a date on every figure.
What we believe
- Activity is not quality. We show momentum and let you judge.
- Reviews are not sales. We never infer revenue or customer numbers from review growth.
- Dates matter. A number without a date is a rumour.
- Money stays out of the data. See how we make money.
Where our data comes from
- Public review platforms, read through permitted access
- Our own regular checks of phone, address, hours and websites
- Public records: census figures, building permits, and state license and company records
